What is GameFly and what items does it offer?
GameFly is an online-only game rental company with a selection of over 8,000 video game titles for popular gaming consoles including the Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and 3, Nintendo Wii, 3DS, Nintendo DS, PSP, and older systems. You can also rent games for your PC and Mac computer at GameFly. Rather than paying per rental, you pay a monthly fee to receive one or two games at a time, which you get in the mail, play as much as you want, and send back when you’re ready for more games. You will never be charged a late fee since there is no due date for game rentals.
How does it work?
Once you sign up for your monthly membership at GameFly, you add as many games as you want to your GameQ and wait for your games to ship; either 1 or 2 games at a time, depending on your membership. Games arrive in pre-paid postage envelopes that you use to send your games back once you have played them and are ready for more games. When GameFly receives your returned games, they will send the next games in your GameQ.
What if I lost the return sleeve?
If you have lost your sleeve, simply write down your first and last name, address, and email address on a piece of paper and send it with your game so that GameFly can find and credit your account. If you have lost the pre-paid shipping envelope, you can request another one from the Report A Shipping Problem page on GameFly’s website.
What if I decide to keep the game?
If you are enjoying your game rental, and would like to keep it, GameFly offers this option. Next to the game title in your GameQ, simply click the “Keep” button and GameFly will charge your credit card for the price of the game.
Does GameFly have a mobile app?
Yes, GameFly offers a free mobile app for smart phones and tablet computers that use iPhone or Android operating systems. Not only can you log-in to your account and add or request rental games, but the app also lets you read reviews of games and find out which new releases are coming.
What are the shipping policies for GameFly?
Games are shipped free of charge by GameFly within 1 business day of adding games to your GameQ, or 1 business day after receiving your last returned games. Depending on where you are located in the US, your games may take 1-5 business days to arrive. The current shipping centers are located in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Austin, and Seattle. GameFly does not ship internationally.
What are the return policies for incorrect or faulty merchandise?
If you receive a game that is not what you asked for or it won’t play on your gaming console, it’s easy to return for a replacement. Simply return the game in the sleeve and pre-paid shipping envelope, and visit the Report A Shipping Problem page to inform GameFly why you are returning the game.
Does GameFly offer rewards or discounts?
Yes, GameFly offers a rewards program for all members that come with your basic membership. With the rewards program, the longer you are a member, the more rewards you receive. Once you are with GameFly for 3 months, you receive 5 GameFly Dollars to be used on any game purchase; after 6 months as a member, you get 5 GameFly Dollars and 5% off a used game purchase; once you have been with GameFly for 12 months, you receive 5 GameFly Dollars, 10% off a used game purchase, and an additional 5 GameFly dollars every 3 months.
